Fanny and Daphne.

The last time we covered Fanny Karst she was about to launch her new sportswear-inspired Old Ladies' Rebellion line LACANNE at Paris fashion week. A month later, she is touring her FW11 Hip collection around Europe. Old Ladies' Rebellion is like a fashionable old ladies' cult. Fanny communicates with her clients via handwritten notes and today's invite actually reads 'All under-80s must be accompanied'. We went and interviewed the cult's devotees.

Fanny Karst is 26 years old, but her label Old Ladies Rebellion is a range of clothing designed exclusively for pensioners who haven't resigned themselves to invisibility. Dressing an older lady isn't easy, because it also means having to do a lot of hiding, shaping, and flattering, but Fanny maintains that doesn't mean the clothes have to boring, unsexy, or stupid.
