Serena Williams just played her first game at the Australian tennis open sporting her new Black History Month exclusive signature shoe. This is the second year that BHM—now in its 36th year—has been celebrated by a collection from Nike. Serena's kit includes shoes, a headband, a killer bag, and a jacket, all of which are very reminiscent of the classic Nike Air Raid II Peace. Spike Lee was actually involved in the press for the release of the original Air Raid back in 92, being given his own fictional "Urban Jungle Gym", as seen in this insanely cool video. Man, they don't make ads like that any more, huh. With BHM only a few weeks away, expect more from the collection.
