What: Maura Mullally worked in Paris as a designer and came back and started collaborating with her painter buddy Sophie Stone, having both studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. For their first collection together they are making "anti-black fashionista" bags. They're colorful and geometrically embroidered neo-medicine lady pouches for the trendy Brooklyn pagan, or some shit. Each are paired with their own unique perspex leather tassle charms that look for that Goa Trance vibe. Best in show was a baby blue double-zippered mermaid or magical fish leather wallet. If these bags weren't at NYC fashion week, they would feel right at home at the Santa Cruz Arts and Crafts Fair.
