LFW: TROPICAL MALLOWS
Who: Fred Butler started out making props as accessories for heavy-hitting stylists like Nicola Formichetti and Lucinda Chambers, but you're more likely to recognize her 60s-idea-of-the-future-influenced stuff from the music videos and album covers of popular singer-type folk. She also has a blog most London based fashion people who are any good love.
What: There were more of the same folk-futurist pieces that Fred's always does—and some headpieces that looked almost edible, like they were made out of plaited marshmallow sticks.
How: There was a huge queue for the duration of the two-hour presentation, owing to the fact that the door policy was a strict 'one in, one out,' so that guests could be seated and watch models do a mini-catwalk circuit, soundtracked by Charlie XCX. Charlie self-identifies as goth pop, but the song she wrote especially for the presentation sounded a lot more tropical than goth.
Vibe: Folk futurism is in.
