LFW: PROSE
Who: Design duo Prose think having Amber Atherton—Made In Chelsea—and Andrew Stone—Pineapple Dance Studios—in the front row means that people will be interested in their essentially mediocre collection. While this wasn’t disastrous, it was boring. And honestly, after what feels like 700 runway shows with the same ‘structured accents’, boring is so much fucking worse.
What: Slouchy knits in earthy tones, plastic weave, and fringing in the colors of those 50p laundry bags—which everyone had in Dalston two years ago—bleached denim, copper velvet pleated trousers, and lots of navy draping. The wet-look hair was OK, especially with the more minimal shirts and pencil skirts which could almost have been Jil Sander.
How: Andrew Stone managed to be both sleazy and asexual, which was fascinating. He liked the “blue”, which, to be fair, is about as much detail as I would go into when describing this show. He also said we could expect to see him at lots more fashion week events, which was an odd thing to say on the last day.
Vibe: Blue is in.
