Only Death Is Real
While most bands love having their picture taken looking their best, metal bands have never really followed that route. Looking tough, dark, or for the most part absolutely ridiculous, as much thought goes into their promo pics as anyone else's. There is little of the pretentiousness of rappers sat around doing their taxes (seriously Raekwon?), or visiting a sick buddy in hospital (nice one, Junior M.A.F.I.A.), or pop sirens doing their best to construct erections for OAPs, but there is plenty of leather, denim, metal, screw faces, hard looks and ridiculous poses to last an eterntiy.
Here are some of my favourite bands in various odd guises.

well i'll be at NAMM this weekend, where the worst of the metal dressers convene every year to try and out shred each other (in the worst possible way) and hang on to that little bit of celebrity that only some balding rep would be able to remember.

I answered the call of the Wintermoon many a time in my youth. A stack of Manowar photos would have rounded this off nicely. This omission I'm going to chalk it up to laziness rather than lack of knowledge.

The thing is, Lemmy is funny, cool and a master of rock - see the other wannabes wearing Motörhead t-shirts. Remove Lemmy and his mates and put them somewhere better. Space is deep.
